Activists for Feline Welfare
In the realm of animal welfare, few initiatives are as impactful as Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs for managing and caring for feral and stray cat populations. Our dedicated team of experts in Cat TNR exemplifies compassion, expertise, and commitment to improving the lives of these often-overlooked animals. Our mission is not only to control the population but to enhance the health and well-being of community cats.
Why Our Work Matters
Health and Safety
Neutered cats are less likely to contract and spread diseases, fight, or roam in search of mates. Vaccinations given during TNR also protect them and the community from rabies and other diseases.
Community Harmony
By stabilizing cat populations and reducing nuisance behaviors, TNR programs foster a more harmonious coexistence between community cats and human residents.
Population Control
TNR is proven to be the most effective and humane method for controlling feral cat populations. It reduces the number of kittens born and prevents the cycle of overpopulation.
the heart of OUR work is the goal TO
humanely reduce the population
OF FERAL CATS Through TNR.
Trapping
Using safe and humane traps, the team captures feral and stray cats from colonies identified in the community.
Neutering/spaying
Once trapped, the cats are taken to veterinary facilities where they are neutered or spayed. This crucial step prevents further breeding and helps stabilize the population.
Returning
After recovery, the cats are returned to their original locations. They are usually ear-tipped, a universal sign indicating they have been sterilized andvaccinated.
